Today, I can confidently say that Buick has joined the ranks of premium automakers, and it's all thanks to the Envision. Since its debut, Buick has completely redefined its vision and revised its goals. The brand has also built a strong reputation in China as a luxury automaker. With the new Buick logo and the latest design update, the Envision now rivals models like the Porsche Macan and Mercedes-Benz GLC in terms of style and presence.
Buick has stepped up its game with the latest Envision update. In addition to its striking design, the American automaker's SUV now features Super Cruise. Front-wheel drive is no longer an option, which I see as a positive change. However, the most impressive upgrade is undoubtedly the addition of a massive 30-inch display on the dashboard.
Trim Levels and Pricing
The 2025 Buick Envision lineup consists of three trims, starting with the Preferred model, now serving as the entry-level version with a starting price of $45,625. This makes Buick's compact SUV significantly more affordable than most of its rivals. Next is the Sport Touring trim, priced at $47,825, which brings a bolder, chrome-free design for a slight premium. At the top of the range sits the Avenir trim, boasting a price of $53,725.
Segment and Competition
The Buick Envision may not have the performance or prestige of some of its competitors, but it offers exceptional value for money. While that's not the only factor that matters in this segment, the model's growing popularity proves that many buyers appreciate this balance.

I liked the previous design of Buick's SUV, but I must say the designers have done an outstanding job with this refresh. The Envision is more refined and sophisticated than ever, with a distinctive new styling signature that enhances its visual appeal. Additionally, I applaud Buick for its bold color choices for the 2025 model.
Inside, the cabin is sleek and modern, thanks to the massive 30-inch display that spans over half of the dashboard. The infotainment system is well-designed, intuitive, and offers smooth navigation. Buick has also done an excellent job selecting high-quality materials.
Performance
The 2025 Buick Envision offers a single powertrain option—a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. While these numbers may seem modest compared to some competitors, I assure you they are more than adequate. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive comes standard.
As for fuel efficiency, the Envision averages 10.8 L/100 km in the city and 8.3 L/100 km on the highway.
Weaknesses
The only thing missing from Buick's SUV lineup is a performance version and an electrified variant, which would help it stand out even more in this competitive segment. Additionally, I must admit I'm not entirely convinced by the shape of the infotainment and instrument display.
Strengths
The Envision is elegant, enjoyable to drive, and extremely comfortable. It offers a luxurious and well-rounded experience while also being one of the most reliable vehicles in its class.
